Which equipment best fits your budget and comfort needs?
Even when you know the model or brand you want, the prices may vary as much as $1,000.00! How can this be? The following is a guide to understanding different types and efficiencies of equipment that are available. These are very important when shopping for a new air conditioning system.
When you start shopping for a new air conditioning system, you are going to hear a lot about S.E.E.R., A.F.U.E. and E.E.R's commercially. All residential air conditioning systems are rated by an S.E.E.R. and furnaces are rated by A.F.U.E., which is an efficiency percentage. The important thing to remember is they don't mean a thing unless the system is properly matched and installed to the sound leak free duct system!
Determining the proper ratings for your new air conditioning equipment is mostly a matter of location. In a heating climate like Minnesota, it is important to have a high A.F.U.E. furnace. Likewise it is important to have a high 14 or 15 S.E.E.R. air conditioning system in the southern regions where we are located.
Typically, all air conditioning dealers have availability to equipment ranging from 10 S.E.E.R. to 14 S.E.E.R. All this equipment comes with a wide array of safety controls, components and warranties that will make a great deal of difference as the equipment gets used and grows older.
At Anderson Services, we feel that it is important to educate the customer on the various equipment and components available and let the customer tell us what they want. We use only the highest quality efficiency equipment, which is, backed by the strongest customer satisfaction warranties in the industry.
